Today the kids were able to participate in the Days of 47 Children's Parade. I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled to be going. I'm not a parade person, and the idea of being out sitting around and trying to keep the babies content was not a happy one. But, I ended up having a lot of fun! We went down with our good friends, the Richmonds, and spent most of the day down there. After the parade was a small carnival-type of setup with tons of fun things for the kids to do. I have to admit, I got chills seeing the kids walking the parade route singing "Give Said the Little Stream." The babies were great too! Couldn't have asked for a better day.

The Gateway
Today we went with our old neighbors and good friends, the DeBry's, to The Gateway. As I was getting the million little things I need out of the car into the stroller, I accidentally locked my purse in the car, keys and all. Normally it's the first thing I put in the stroller, but the kids were going crazy with excitement and I slipped out of my normal routine...ugh.
I found my friend Angie, called Kev from her cell phone and had him come rescue me. He wasn't even grumpy and didn't even give me a hard time! Ya ya, he's a great guy, don't get me wrong, but he had this coming. A few months earlier while washing his truck, Tyler got out of it while it was still running and locked the door. So he was stuck in there with it running while I came to get him. Ha ha ha... I used to make fun of my sister for that, but now I'm part of the club.
Anyway, other than that, we had a great time. It was so nice to meet up with Angie and the kids. We miss them tons, but luckily still live close enough to do things.
